The LGU has an active, committed and functional Local Peace and Order Council, Local Disaster Coordinating Council, Woman and Children Protecting Committee, Community Public Safety Plan and Disaster Risk Management Plan and other structure to clearly address the respective concern and activities.
On Economic Development

We formulated policies, strategies and programs and even put up facilities and utilized our meager resources to support the improvement of farming as municipality’s main sources of income. The municipality is mainly an agricultural area it has an abundant supply of coconut as the main product. Aside from coconut, planting cassava is another agricultural product that was introduce to the farmers. Cassava is a raw material use as one of the ingredients for starch, alcohol wine.

Structures, facilities and resources are in place to promote private sectors’ investment. We have actively advocated policies and guidelines which create an environment that is conducive for economic growth and development of local enterprises. Our main trust and our effort to put up physical infrastructure like roads, bridges, public market, public terminal, communication, power and water for investors.  We already have an integrated bus terminal now. The construction of the Calamba Integrated Bus Terminal really improved the Municipality’s flow of transportation coming from Dipolog City to any point of Misamis Occidental.

On Environment Management: We have the policies and ordinances passed for the protection of environment. In waste management and pollution control, we created thru an Executive Order the Municipal Solid Waste Management Board which task is to formulate the Solid Waste Management Plan. As to the present, we are still on the process of formulating the said plan for implementation. We allocated an amount got the purchased of trash box in support to the program.
