Proclamation of winning candidates of the May 10, 2010 National and Local Elections for the Municipal Level of the Municipality of Calamba, Misamis Occidental
Re-elected Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA of the Municipality of Calamba, Misams Occidental along with his running mate re-elected Municipal Vice Mayor Jesus C. Enerio and the 7 Sangguniang Bayan Members of the administration candidates has succeeded again during the May 10, 2010 National and Local Elections.
After months of preparations and a little bit of tense, finally at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on May 11, 2010, the local Comelec proclaimed all the municipal’s winning bets.
The elected officials were proclaimed winners by Election Officer Mr. Alberto R. Florin last May 11, 2010, 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall. Witnessing the proclamation were the members of the Municipal Board of Canvassers, families and friends of the elected officials and some of the Municipal Employees.
Based on the Municipal Canvass Results, re-elected Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA garnered 7,193 votes or 79.87 % of the total no. of voters actually voted over 2 mayoralty candidates, while re-elected Municipal Vice Mayor Jesus C. Enerio got 7,182 or 74.34 % over the 2 candidates for Vice Mayor.
Election Officer Mr. Alberto R. Florin also proclaimed the elected Sangguniang Bayan Members: (according to rank) newly elected and number one (1) Sangguniang Bayan Member Marjorie Yamuta Atay then followed by newly elected Sangguniang Bayan Member Jorge B. Quiza, re-elected Sangguniang Bayan Member Joelito Guillena Intong, re-elected Sanggunianga Bayan Member Zenaida Cagatan Medija, re-elected Sangguniang Bayan Member Moises Degit Leonardo, re-elected Sanggunianga Bayan Member Judelyn Echavia Bolotaolo, re-elected Sangguniang Bayan Member Nathaniel Arreta Neri and newly elected Sangguniang Bayan Member Betty Monera Iman.
Mayor Villanueva was so happy and glad that the constituents of Calamba cruising him to a third term victory and still trusted him with a full support of his victory. He was also thankful that 99 percents of his line-up councilors won the election.
