MDRRMC CLEARING OPERATIONS
 
The Low Pressure and its heavy rainfall did a lot of damages among the mountainous areas in Calamba Misamis Occidental. It has been reported that 23 landslides occur this past week. Namely Barangay Mamalad, Barangay Bonifacio, Barangay Sulipat and Barangay Singalat. While in Barangay Dapacan Bajo the spillway was reported slightly damaged due to strong current in the river.

On January 15, 2017 there has been a forecast that a low pressure area is affecting the whole Mindanao area. And in response to that forecast the MDRRMO - Mr. Ben Jan Yap, mandated the MDRRMC responders of Calamba Misamis Occidental to closely monitor the rainfall that started from morning till night which could lead to Floods and Landslides.

 LGU CHRISTMAS PARTY
Celebrating Christmas has been a traditional celebration all over the world. The Local Government Unit of Calamba, Misamis Occidental joined the celebration of the birth of Holy Infant Jesus through a Christmas Party held last December 20, 2016 at Don Mateo Matunog Multi-purpose gym. The program started with a Holy Mass. And followed by lunch. Each department prepared their own foods and drinks, and  There is an exchange of gifts called Manito/Manita. 

 MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS LEAD THE 118TH RIZAL DAY CELEBRATION
 
The Local Government Unit of Clamba, Misamis Occidental headed by SB Member Dr. Emmanuel M. Cale commemorates the 120th Rizal Day to signify our gratitude and giving honor to our National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal’s nationalism and martyrdom.
