“Municipal Officials Oath Taking Ceremony of the Municipalilty of Calamba, Misamis Occidental”
Forty Nine (49) days after the May 10, 2010 National and Local Elections, the new sets of elected officials of the Municipality of Calamba, Misamis Occidental took their oath of office before administering officer Acting Presiding Judge of Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC) of the Local Government Unit of Calamba, Misamis Occidental Hon. Marlon Jay G. Moneva last June 28, 2010, 9 o’clock in the morning at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall.
Two elected Sangguniang Bayan Members of the Municipality of Baliangao, Misamis Occidental namely Sangguniang Bayan Member Rommel C. Borbon and Sangguniang Bayan Member Jaime B. Puyod also came with their respective families to take their oath together with the elected Sangguniang Bayan Members of Calamba and the elected Board Members of the 1st and 2nd District of Misamis Occidental.
The elected official who took their oath of office were Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA who is now on his third term and running mate second term reelected Municipal Vice-Mayor Jesus Cuarto Enerio. (According to rank) newly elected and number one (1) Sangguniang Bayan Member Marjorie Yamuta Sarreal, newly elected Sangguniang Bayan Member Jorge B. Quiza, reelected Sangguniang Bayan Member Joelito Guillena Intong, reelected Sanggunianga Bayan Member Zenaida Cagatan Medija, reelected Sangguniang Bayan Member Moises Degit Leonardo, reelected Sanggunianga Bayan Member Judelyn Echavia Bolotaolo, re-elected Sangguniang Bayan Member Nathaniel Arreta Neri and newly elected Sangguniang Bayan Member Betty Monera Iman.
Provincial Vice Governor Henry S. Oaminal lead the elected Board Members of the 1st and 2nd District of Misamis Occidental during their oath of office before Judge Moneva. The elected Board Members of the 1st District who also sworn were the following: newly elected Board Member Zaldy G. Daminar, reelected Board Member Inocencio D. Pagalaran, Jr., reelected Board Member Edilma C. Bulawin, and newly elected Board Member Jim. R. De los Santos and Board Member Morpheus Agot for the 2nd District.
Newly elected Provincial Vice Governor Henry S. Oaminal graced the occasion. In his speech, he urged all the newly elected officials to unite to work hand in hand in delivering the expectation of the people to achieve the growth and development of Misamis Occidental especially to their respective municipalities. In achieving the growth in the economy, infrastructures, basic services depend on the elected officials. Despite of the differences of political parties the officials should do the task assigned to them by the people who trusted and voted them and to wok together to attain the vision of the Province so that it can also serve more people.
In his message it was clear that the differences of political parties will not be a hindrance to serve the people, to provide the basic services and to work together to help the needy constituents. The message is very timely especially to the political situations of the country.
After his speech, the Session Hall echoed with loud applauses as a sign of support to the Vice Governor of his vision of the Province.
The elected officials solemnly swear to the administering officer Acting Presiding Judge of Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC) Hon. Marlon Jay G. Moneva and to their families to do the task, responsibilities and duties of their position to the best of their abilities with God’s wisdom, and help and to support the Constitutions of the Republic of the Philippines.
Witnessing the said ceremonies were members of their families, friends and Municipal Employees.
Visitors enjoyed the delicious lunch prepared by their respective families. It was also a family gathering.
After the inaugural ceremony a farewell party to the out going Sangguniang Bayan Members was held at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
