Rev. Fr. Fred Malalis of Catholic Parish Church conducted the blessing ceremony. SWP Brgy Captain Ezel T. Villanueva, SB Member Julieto Intong, Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA, Tess Gacus of PALS, Municipal Vice Mayor Jesus C. Enerio, Albert Medina of PALS, SB Member Edgar V. Iman and Rev. Fr. Fred Malalis initiated the cutting of ribbons after the blessing ceremony.
In the turning over rites Mr. Albert Medina of Philippines-Australia Local Sustainability (PALS) handed over the key of responsibility to Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr, MNSA and then to SWP Barangay Captain Ezel T. Villanueva. Brgy. Captain Ezel T. Villanueva accepted the responsibility.
In the turnover of the key of responsibility, Brgy. Southwestern has now the full responsibility for the maintenance and operation of the said road.
Mr. Medina of PALS said “the project is very useful especially in the production and uplifting the lives of the constituents.
Municipal Mayor Villanueva in his message said that the road along Suan-Tumilap St. will be useful to the barangay and he even stressed the importance and effect of these road projects to the economy and as well as infrastructure of the municipality.
Barangay Captain Ezel T. Villanueva was thankful for the project because her constituents will benefit for it.
The blessing and turning over ceremony was attended by the Barangay Council of Southwestern Poblacion, PALS Staff Provincial and Municipal, Municipal Officials and constituents of Brgy. Southwestern Pob.
This newly blessed road will not only benefit the constituents of Brgy. Southwestern Poblacion but also it will give advantage to the vehicle drivers that will pass that road.
