    The Calamba Local Tourism Council held its induction and oath taking of officers last August 20, 2007, 10:00 o’clock in the morning at the Municipal Session Hall, Calamba, Misamis Occidental.
 
    The program proper was graciously opened by a welcome address delivered by Sannguniang Bayan Member Judelyn E. Bolotaulo SB Chairman on Tourism.

    Engr. Eizel Tabuelog Villanueva Calamba Local Tourism Council Chairman presented the new set of officers who were all officially inducted by the Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA. 

    This year’s set of members of Calamba Local Tourism Council are Engr. Eizel Tabuelog Villanueva-Chairman of the CLTC; Beverly Bergado Samosa - Vice Chairman; Daisy Joy Villanueva Jabonillo-Secretary; Dr. Rodolfo Mario C. Borbon, Jr. - Treasurer; Maria Corazon Tabotabo Descallar- Auditor; Minnie Cañares Castillon and Ana Emelia Pasok Galindo- Public Information Officer.

    Engr. Eizel Tabuelog Villanueva is the wife of Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr. MNSA and automatic as the Chairman of the Tourism Council of the municipally. 

    Chairman of Calamba Local Tourism Council Engr. Eizel Tabuelog Villanueva delivered her speech and emphasizing the important objectives of the council. “One of the objectives of the council is placing our town Calamba on the map. Each member commits themselves to share their time, skills, effort to engage in social activities of Calamba, tree planting activities, programs and activities that will develop our local tourism in the municipality. The first project proposal of the council is the renovation of the Rotonda Magsaysay located at Barangay Northern Poblacion. The Calamba Local Tourism Council needs the help of the Calambahon including those kababayan who are now working and living abroad so that the CLTC can raise fund for the renovation of the Rotonda Magsaysay. Rotonda Magsaysay is one of the landmarks of the municipality. Aside from that Engr. Eizel expressed that the council will support the present administration program “Lambo Calamba”. The success of the future programs and projects of the tourism council depends on the cooperation among the members of the Calamba Local Tourism Council, the Local Government Unit of Calamba and the constituents of the municipality.”

    The important guests who graced the said occasion were Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA; Municipal Vice-Mayor Jesus C. Enerio; Hon. Judelyn E. Bolotaulo- Sangguniang Bayan Member/Chairman of Tourism and the other members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Municipal Department Heads and friends and family of the newly elected Calamba Local Tourism Council.

    Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA filled with confidence that that newly elected and dedicated members of Calamba Local Tourism Council will be a helping hand in accomplishing projects that will develop the local tourism of the municipality.

    After the oath ceremony the guests enjoyed the delicious food prepared by the council.
