The Local Government Unit of Calamba, Misamis Occidental in coordination with the Office of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development held the Daycare Mass Recognition on March 20, 2007, 1 o’clock in the afternoon at Don Mateo Matunog Gymnasium. The occasion is not only a graduation but also the pinning of ribbons to the achievers and outstanding students.
The daycare mass recognition program was formally started with the processional march with the presence of the Municipal officials headed by the Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA, 19 Barangay Captains, guests, parents and preschoolers candidate for recognition then followed by lighting of candle rite with preschoolers together with their parents. The daycare mass recognition program also featured the mass singing of “ONE LITTLE CANDLE” performed by the preschoolers.
The occasion was attended by the preschoolers/candidate for recognition from the 19 Barangays of Calamba, Misamis Occidental together with their respective day care teacher, Barangay Captain and their parents.
During the lighting of candle rite, the daycare teachers assisted their students showing their full support. The daycare teachers are truly encouraging, hard-working, inspired, and who love their students. Teachers are also proud of themselves because they also worked patiently and continuously worked hard to provide a great education to their students.
The event was more successful with the worth-to-remember message from the honored guest speaker, Mrs. Ma. Elena Encabo Ratunil the Municipal Budget Officer of Calamba, Misamis Occidental. In her message she told the students how education is important and how the parents should brought up their children. She also set an example just to made her listener (daycare students) understand what she was telling about.
The gymnasium filled with mixed emotions of parents as they witnessed their children graduating from daycare. Parents are so amazed seeing their children marching on the stage to get their diploma and received their medals for the achievements they got. Even if those children are not 100 percent aware that education is important but you can still see in their innocent face that they are so proud when they received their diploma.
