The elected 19 Barangay Captains and 133 Barangay Councilors who were elected last October 28, 2013 Barangay Election finally takes their oath of office before 1^st District of Misamis Occidental Congressman Hon. Jorge T. Almonte last November 23, 2013, 10 o’clock in the morning at MOELCI Function Hall.

1^st District Board Member Hon. Zaldy G. Daminar and Municipal Mayor Ezel T. Villanueva stand as witness during the mass oath taking ceremony. Mr. Amado B. Quiza the Election Officer of Calamba was also invited.

Sangguniang Bayan Members Hon. Juan T. Jumalon, Hon. Edgar V. Iman, Hon. Rodrigo T. Garcia, Hon. Amelita Y. Preciado, Hon. Rezie C. Leonardo and ABC President Hon. Rodolfo D. Pagalaran also graced the occasion.

Mayor Ezel T. Villanueva rest assured the newly elected Barangay Officials that she will continue to support whatever projects and development that they will render to their respective barangays.

The mass oath-taking symbolized unity among the barangay officials, constituents and the LGU headed by Mayor Villanueva to stand and unite in work for the progress of the entire Calamba. The projects and programs of the government especially in the LGU’s will be realized because of the support and efforts of the barangay officials.

Through the barangay officials the services especially the basic services needed by the community will be heard.  The rules of the barangay officials are important to the development of the barangays.

The people had chosen the barangay officials who took their oath of office to be the leaders and servant to a progressive society.   

The ceremony also displayed the hidden talent of Mayor Ezel, barangay officials and guests during the mini-concert held after the oath-taking ceremony.

The presence of their respective families, supporters and friends made the occasion memorable.

The officials will assume their duty on December 1, 2013.
