EMPLOYEES NIGHT

The employees from the Private and Government Agencies of the Municipality of Calamba Misamis Occidental, 75th Araw ng Calamba Employees Night last February 13, 2023 at Municipal Gymnasium. LGU, CDH, MOELCI-1, Food Establishment Cluster, MEM and Mila GO Corporation, Bank and Cooperatives Cluster, Appliances and Motor Cycle Dealers, Pawnshops and National Agencies. Headed by Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva Jr., MNSA, And Municipal Administrator Egnr. Ezel T. Villanueva, Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Antonio Lawas together with the Sangguniang Bayan Member and the Private  and Government Agencies employees. The event begins with opening prayer by Alvi mae L. Samosa, followed by National Anthem and Calamba March. Welcome Address given by Hon. Cherry Magsayo SB Chair- Tourism Committee Chairman Employees Night Committee, Hon. Sammy Ford G. Lansang SB Chair-Commerce, Trade, Industry, Labor & Employment giving a short massage.

The most awaited event the Calamba Employees Queen 2023.  Every cluster they had a dance presentation, also a candidates for employees queen, here are nine candidates. The candidates go through glass dance for two songs you can put down any amount of money to the glass of the candidates and dance. The Candidates who got the higher amount she will be the employee’s queen 2023. This moment the candidates of deferens cluster are wearing casual attire they looking good and elegant pretty as will. The Calamba employees queen 2023 the candidate from Local Government Unit of Calamba. The Calamba Employees Queen 2019 turnover of Scepter to the new Calamba employee’s queen 2023, the cluster representatives furnish with sash and bouquet to the candidates. BATTLE OF THE BANDS

February 12, 2023 the Battle of the Band contest is a celebration of 75th Araw ng Calamba, performs at the Municipal Gymnasium Calamba, Misamis Occidental. Headed by Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA Municipal Administrator Engr. Ezel T. Villanueva, Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Antonio Lawas, together the Sangguniang Bayan Member, judges employees and the Calambanon who witness the contest. Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva, Jr., MNSA give the short message, A Battle of the Band is a contest in which many bands, usually rock or metal bands, but often musical act from a range of different styles, compete for the best band. The winner is determined by voice vote of the judges and the audience, the band who brings the most people to support them. The Bands who join the contest are UNDERPRESSURE, FIXATED, UNDECIDED, HYSTERIA and HOMEBOYS, deferent LGU and Cities. The both band very competitive and they enjoying the show on stage, but one of this band well outstanding performance of the judges. The 4th runner-up FIXATED, 3rd runner-up UNDECIDED, 2nd runner-up HYTERRIA, 1st runner-up HOMEBOYS and Battle of the Band champion no other than the UNDERRESSURE Band.  Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva Jr., MNSA, Mrs. Maria Corazon T. Descallar Municipal Tourism Officer, and Dr. Emmanuel M. Cale Chairman local Tourism Council Private Sector. Giving the award of Winners. BARANGAY DAY

In Local Government Unit of Calamba, There is unity in diversity. The Municipal Gymnasium was filled with hundreds of Calambahanon during the 75th Araw ng Calamba. Barangay Day on February 10, 2023. Locals of nineteen barangay were united by event themed “Ang Nagkahiusa Calambahanon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon ug Malipayon”, the residence from the nineteen barangay who were excited to witness the event and the presentations prepared to nineteen barangays. The ceremony of this year’s Barangay day was graced by Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva Jr., MNSA, and Municipal Administrator Egnr. Ezel T. Villanueva, the Municipal vice Mayor Hon. Antonio Lawas together with the Sangguniang Bayan Member and the ABC President Hon. KenAllen B. Lawas. Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva Jr., MNSA Give the inspiring message to all people who witness the barangay day. The presenters are excited to their dance presentations the barangays who present in the morning are barangay from Siloy, Calaran, Bonifacio, Mamalad, Southwestern Poblacion, Mauswagon, DBAN, Solinog, Northern Poblacion and barangay Singalat.  In the afternoon the continuations of dance presentation of barangay Dapacan Bajo, Bunawan, Sulipat, Langub, Dapacan Alto, Magcamiguing, Libertad Salvador and barangay San Isidro, they dance gracefully and much enjoyed their dance and the event.

SILLIMAN UNIVERSITY JAZZ BAND WORLD CLASS CONCERT

 

The month of February is month of love but also a celebration of 75th Araw ng Calamba, as we celebrate the 75th Araw ng Calamba. On the night of February 11, 2023 one of the high light of the even Siliman University Jazz Band Concert, performing at Calamba Municipal Gymnasium. The Director of the Band Mr. Joseph Albert P. Basa, the two Vocalist Mr. Marlon F. Sumanoy and Miss. Cherielyn N. Opulen tisima also the 16 member of the band who  played the musical instrument Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, keyboard/piano, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drum Set.

This event headed by Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva Jr, MNSA, Municipal Administrator Engr, Ezel T. Villanueva, the SB Members, headed by Municipal Vice Mayor Antonio Lawas, together All Calamba Siliman University Alumni, and Calambahons who witness the amazing performance of Jazz Band Concert. Municipal Mayor Dr. Luisito B. Villanueva Jr. MNSA. And Mun. Tourism Officer Maria Corazon T. Descallar giving of certificates of regognition to SU Jazz Band Member. The first ever Siliman Jazz band was a successful concert.

A jazz band is a musical ensemble that plays jazz music. Jazz bands vary in the quantity of its members and the style of jazz that they play but it is common to find a jazz band made up of a rhythm section and a horn section.
