Today marks a significant milestone in the history of the Municipality of Calamba as we celebrate the Soft Opening of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) District Office. This occasion represents the beginning of a new era of accessible, efficient, and people-centered public service for the residents of Calamba and its neighboring municipalities.

The establishment of the LTO District Office fulfills the vision of bringing essential government services closer to the people. Through this office, motorists, drivers, vehicle owners, and transport operators will enjoy more convenient access to vehicle registration, driver’s licensing, permits, and other transportation-related services without the need to travel long distances. The office was established pursuant to Republic Act No. 11792, which created a regular LTO District Office in Calamba, Misamis Occidental to serve Calamba and nearby municipalities.

This soft opening symbolizes more than the inauguration of a government facility—it reflects the government’s commitment to improving public service, promoting road safety, supporting local economic growth, and enhancing the overall quality of life of our communities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Transportation, the Land Transportation Office, our national and local government officials, partner agencies, and everyone whose dedication and collaboration made this milestone possible. Your unwavering support has turned this long-awaited vision into reality.

As we officially open the doors of the LTO District Office in Calamba, may this institution continue to provide excellent, transparent, and efficient public service with integrity and professionalism. Together, let us move forward toward a future of safer roads, better transportation services, and stronger community development.

Congratulations to the Municipality of Calamba, Misamis Occidental, on the successful Soft Opening of the Land Transportation Office District Office!
