LGU CHRISTMAS PARTY

Celebrating Christmas has been a traditional celebration all over the world. The Local Government Unit of Calamba, Misamis Occidental joined the celebration of the birth of Holy Infant Jesus through a Christmas Party held last December 19, 2013 at Bulawis Swimming Pool.

Each department prepared their own foods and drinks, while the Sangguniang Bayan Members contributed lechons then distributed to all the departments (Local and National).  There is an exchange of gifts called Manito/Manita. 

Presentations from each department and parlor games add entertainment to the celebration. The party is more enjoyable for employees wherein different talents in singing, dancing and comical play were put in together that produce a worth to remember party. The artistic sides of the employees were recognized. The newly elected officials especially the first timers Sangguniang Bayan Members were also delighted attending their first LGU party. It is a pool party.

The day after the LGU Christmas Party, the Local Government Unit headed by Municipal Mayor Ezel T. Villanueva, Municipal and National Government Agencies and Barangay Officials led the “Misa de Gallo”. It is a yearly commitment of the officials and employees as Christians and as part of the community. It is also a thanksgiving of the blessings that the Almighty God has showered not only to the LGU but to the entire Calamba and to the constituents.
