The Calambahanons was so excited to know the new set of elected officials that would lead the Municipality of Calamba, Misamis Occidental. After months of campaigns finally the Municipal Board of Canvassers headed by COMELEC Registrar Cynthia T. Aldana proclaimed the new set of elected officials last May 14, 2013. 

ABC President/SB Member Hon. Ezel T. Villanueva won the Municipal Mayor Position and garnered 6,255 votes or 58.45 % of the total no. of voters actually voted against contender SB Member Hon. Marjorie A. Sarreal with 3,886 votes or 36.31% of the total no. of voters actually voted. The Municipal Vice Mayor is still Hon. Jesus C. Enerio.

Election Officer  Cythia T. Aldana  also proclaimed the newly elect Sangguniang Bayan Members: (according to rank) newly elect and number one (1) Sangguniang Bayan Member Antonio N. Lawas then followed by newly elect Sangguniang Bayan Member Dr. Emmanuel M. Cale, newly elect Sangguniang Bayan Member Engr. Joseph C. Malayao, newly elect,  Sangguniang Bayan Member Rezie C. Leonardo, newly elect, Sangguniang Bayan Member Edgar V. Iman, newly elect Sangguniang Bayan Member Amelita Y. Preciado, newly elect, Sangguniang Bayan Member Rodrigo T. Garcia and newly elect, Sangguniang Bayan Member Juan T. Jumalon.  

Newly elect and in-coming Municipal Mayor Ezel T. Villanueva was thankful to the constituents for trusting and giving her the opportunity to lead the municipality and to continue outgoing Municipal Mayor Luisito B. Villanueva’s vision for the Calambahanons.
